So, Nation, Headlights has lots in store for you this year. First, our second full length "Some Racing, Some Stopping" will be released on Feb. 19. We also have another EP, and possibly even a remix CD in the works for you. Of course - we'll also be doing lots of touring to bring the heat to the heartland and beyond. hello all! we've been laying pretty low for the last few months, not playing many shows because we have been recording our follow up to 'kill them with kindness.' we decided after all of the touring that the last thing we wanted to do was to go and record somewhere other than home. we tracked basics for our last record in milwaukee and as much as we love milwaukee there was a serious need to spend the summer bbqing, drinking beer and recording at the farmhouse. now we are almost finished and it's getting pretty exciting. there are a few titles being thrown around but nothing concrete yet. the record is scheduled to be released on polyvinyl in february '08. until then we will be doing some small tours out east and regionally. we will probably go out to cmj in october and then we will definitely be doing fun fun fun fest in austin, tx with bands such as the new pornographers, of montreal, spoon, okkervil river, ted leo and wait for it. . . battles. to name a few. hope to see you out there! love, headlights

We played 161 shows in 2006. More to come in the next year including a month long European tour with The Album Leaf, The Ponys, and others, and a SXSW and West coast tour with Page France from Suicide Squeeze Records.

It was summer when we left. What happened to all the leaves?? A big thanks and a hearty handshake to all those who helped us along our way on this tour. Enemies EP pressed to vinyl

The Enemies EP has been pressed to white and black vinyl by German label Miamante Records and includes bonus track "Pity City (2005)". White vinyls are available at www.miamanterecords.com, and black vinyls available at www.interpunk.com. We have also just released a split 7" w/ Canada's own Arts and Crafts band The Most Serene Republic. These are available at www.polyvinylrecords.com.

Headlights are happy as heck to welcome our brother-in-rock, Nick Sandborn, to our touring line-up! Nick plays rhodes electric piano and accordion for one of our very favorite bands and fellow Polyvinyl groups. . . Decibully! he will be primarily playing bass but also some accordion, glockenspiel, melodica and an assortment of breakbeat dance moves that may melt your face off if you stand too close. we can't travel with a government warning so this will have to do. "WARNING: MAY MELT FACE OFF!" We can't be certain how dangerous our live show will be now, so come at your own risk. . . seriously. . . holy cow. . . whoa. get ready fo' some low end, babies!
Mi Amante Records picks up The Enemies EP

German Label Mi Amante Records has picked up The Enemies EP for distro in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It will be printed on white vinyl and will include the bonus track "Pity City". Recording begins...

We have finally started our full length record, ha-rah! Yup, we're pretty psyched to be working with Kristian Riley at Bionic Studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kristian will be recording our basic tracks, then we will bring it all back down to finish ear candies at the beloved farmhouse. Additional strings will be recorded with Mark Rubel at Pogo Studios in good ole Champaign, Illinois. It's been a long time coming and should be out in August of this year. Keep your eyes peeled for our 7" split single in March with Arts and Crafts' The Most Serene Republic!
